Published NTRP and Dynamic NTRP are different views
USTA publishes ratings used for participation and eligibility at defined points, while a player's underlying Dynamic NTRP changes through eligible results and is not presented as a public live decimal. A third-party decimal should not be mistaken for that private value.
Why the estimates can still be useful
Public-result models can summarize whether results appear stronger or weaker over time. They are best used for direction and self-review, not as an authoritative ruling on level, eligibility, promotion, or appeal outcomes.
